With the current CEO moving to the role of chairman, MSI are now seeking an exceptional individual who will continue to develop and promote the association as one of the leading multidisciplinary groups of professional services firms. This is a truly global role and will involve a high degree of international travel. The key responsibilities will include:
• Providing strategic direction for the association
• Taking full management and budgetary responsibility for the day-to-day running of the association and ensuring the effective implementation of the agreed operating plans and objectives
• Leading and motivating a small but highly experienced team
• Promoting and developing relationships with existing and potential member firms
• Ensuring strong communications with all members and being the focal point for any enquiries from both internal and external parties
• Organising regular international meetings and conferences to ensure open and positive communication between members
• Providing the board with regular updates on progress and opportunities.
• Managing MSI's risk profile and ensuring that appropriate internal controls are in place
Who we're looking for
This is a truly unique opportunity and will appeal to senior individuals who have enjoyed a high degree of autonomy and trust in previous and current roles. Potential candidates are likely to be strong general managers who are very comfortable being the public and promotional "face" of an international organisation.
You will have an entrepreneurial style that will be coupled with strong diplomatic, organisational and administrative skills. You will be able to demonstrate an ability to adapt to diverse cultural situations and be prepared to adopt flexible working patterns on an international basis.
The board is fully committed to the long-term growth of the association and hopes that the successful applicant will build and deliver a considered strategy for the continued development of MSI.
