Supply Chain Director

This newly created Supply Chain Director role requires a technically proficient leader to own the S&OP process for the European operation, based near Gloucester.
The incumbent will be required to develop the European organisational capability focussing on the following responsibilities:

• Identify and apply supply chain best practice across inventory management and the S&OP process.
• Provide effective team management including the provision of appropriate metrics to ensure success
• Monitor and be accountable for trade compliance in line with internal and external guidelines
• Oversee best in class customer delivery
• Manage 3PL partners across Europe
• Control the department budget and ensure that financial discipline is applied to the cost of supply chain delivery

Who we're looking for
You will ideally be degree educated and have previously held a multi-regional role. You will be adept at process change in relation to S&OP and will be a supply chain planning expert. You will understand the cost implications of effective supply chain, be able to work collaboratively and be a calm, focussed business leader with a high degree of integrity. A background in automotive/FMCG/packaging/chemicals or other volume driven manufacturing environment would be the preferred sector expertise, although world class practitioners from other industries will be considered. SAP and German language skills would be a definite advantage.
