IT Support Manager

• Develop, manage and implement IT Strategies
• Provision and management of a computer network and associated services appropriate for the specified needs of the business
• Provide support on MS Office and applications
• Provision and management of web hosting and website development services
• Provision of end user support services
• Provision of IT training programmes, including the provision of self-study materials, classroom and bespoke training and arranging for third-party training with external suppliers
• Responsible for the provision of a disaster recovery service
• Responsible for the management and continuous development of all software applications, ensuring the development work meets or exceed, where possible, existing standards
• Responsible for sourcing and installation of software and hardware, meeting the standards for technical platforms, and maintaining a register of software licences and hardware acquisitions
• Manage third party contracts for provision of IT services including hardware support, software development, Internet connectivity, network security and website hosting. Services to be provided within the pre assigned budget and subject to the provision of adequate resources
• Troubleshooting remote access problems for home workers and travelling staff
• Support, maintain and develop the databases and database applications

Who we're looking for
• Experience in IT Supervisory position
• Basic Website editing and administration (HTML and Java script experience)
• Experienced delivering training to groups of users and in the production of training resources (i.e. PowerPoint presentation and training guides)
• Knowledge of relational databases (preferably SQL server)
• Experience of SQL reporting tools (preferably SQL Reporting Services or Crystal Reports)
• Previous experience of application testing
• Experience with document, learning and customer management systems
• Proactive, self-motivated, methodical, diligent, great attention to detail
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• The ability to capture and solve issues - escalating only when appropriate
