• Foreign tax provision - quarterly and annual preparation of US GAAP based foreign current and deferred tax provisions to a strict time table. • Reconciliation of foreign tax payable accounts. • Tracking and maintaining inventories of income and withholding taxes paid including maintenance of tax receipts. • Compilation of data for provision of US tax on foreign operations. • Compilation of data for purposes of US Forms 5471 and 8858 and preparation of such forms. • Perform special projects related to: i) tax accounting & other special tax research work, and ii) tax planning initiatives • The Group's global tax accounting and US tax compliance functions are located in the US. It is anticipated that 55% of the role will be directly serving the needs of both of these functions to very strict deadlines. The remaining 45% will be spent working on ad hoc international tax initiatives.
Who we're looking for
• Post qualification experience of US GAAP tax reporting for major listed US multinationals either gained in industry or public practice. • Have an excellent understanding of US GAAP, specifically in the area of tax reporting. • Is familiar with the US tax return compliance process and is experienced in the preparation of the US Form 1120 and other related forms such as Forms 5471, 8858, 8865, and 1118. • Holds a good university degree and is either a US CPA or UK ACA or CTA qualified.
