Our client is a dominant player in the Secured Loan Broking market. The business has an appetite for aggressive growth over the medium term through broadening its distribution, product portfolio and process innovation. It is in the process of building a management team to deliver its growth targets.
The role of the Commercial Director/Manager combines elements ofbusiness developmentand product portfolio management with a focus on meeting company targets for growth, efficiency and profitability. The role therefore requires the Commercial Director/Manager to:
• Develop and deliver an effective B2B and B2C sales and marketing strategy supported by relevant initiatives to generate future business
• Identify and drive new business opportunities, supported by effective due diligence and commercial evaluations
• Develop and maintain effective client relationships with business partners and product providers in order to ensure revenue streams are maximised
• Carry out effective market research, assessments and continually monitor the progress of sales and marketing initiatives in order to deliver business success
• Identify and manage the appropriate credit risk/commercial risk for new ventures or products
• Play a key role within the company's senior management team
• Develop effective staff initiatives in order to foster and promote a high performance sales and customer focused culture

Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record at the appropriate level within a similar Financial Services organisation.
They will have:
• Strong business development and marketing skills and a successful track record of both originating new business and driving the success of a team in this area.
• Strong credit / commercial risk skills.
• A proven ability to play a key role in the company's senior management team.
• Be MBAqualified with a Business related degree.

Each business is destined to be an autonomous business entity with its own management team and structure. The company is therefore looking to develop the leadership function in each business in order to ensure that an effective management team is in place to drive the businesses forward.
