• The HR Advisor will provide timely, practical & professional support on all HR issues relating to the relevant client group. Key responsibilities include:
• Providing advice & support to business unit management on all HR issues (e.g. disciplinary, grievance, capability & conduct)
• Ensuring HR support is aligned to business objectives.
• Ensuring consistent implementation of advice is in line with company policies & procedures, current employment law &/or common law principles.
• Inputting into mechanisms for the delivery of initiatives in change management & continuous improvement.
• Assisting managers to embed performance culture with employees.
• Coaching & guiding managers in HR procedures, policies, strategies & employee relations.
• Establishing & maintaining effective key relationships within the business unit operation.
• Keeping HR trackers/reports up to date.
• Actively promoting good employee relations between union, colleagues, management & employees. Liaising closely with unit management to identify & resolve local employee relations issues.
• Participating in & supporting change management initiatives within the HR function & the business unit.

Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will be:
• CIPD Qualified (or working towards)
• Experience of working in a Unionised environment.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Coaching experience.
• Excellent interpersonal & influencing skills.
