Reporting directly into the Focus Factory Manager, you will be accountable for a team of approximately 70 Supervisors and Operators, which should grow significantly throughout the course of 2012. You will be required to ensure the smooth running of the factory, manufacturing high quality product in a just-in-time production environment through the use of modern lean production and Unipart Way techniques and philosophies, with the aim of achieving 'World Class' standards and exceeding both internal and external customer requirements. You will be directly responsible for recruiting and training the new employees to achieve consistent growth in production volumes in line with customer schedules.
Who we're looking for
Ideally degree qualified, you will have experience managing production operations within a Just In Time (JIT) Automotive manufacturing environment. You must be able to demonstrate previous success in improving the performance of a factory through effective leadership and by driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will be fully committed to learning and using The Unipart Way, a philosophy created for Operational Excellence, which is as much about creating a culture of continuous improvement as it is the development of technical skills and lean processes.
