As the Mechanical Project Engineer you will be responsible for the preparation and implementation of new projects (with values ranging from £50,000 - £1M) for a large production plant. Your responsibilities will include: owning the project from cradle to grave incorporating design, specification, procurement, construction, commissioning and start up / handover. The project base is diverse covering; Mechanical Plant, Civil, Construction, Energy etc. You will manage the design data of several installations and the documentation of subcontractors whilst maintaining close contact with internal customers.

Who we're looking for
You must posses a minimum of HNC, and have experience of working within a food manufacturing environment, as a result of which you will know how to work according to mandatory safety standards and environmental procedures. You will be a strong Project Leader and you will have been responsible for your own projects rather than being part of a project team. Experience of using AutoCAD and MS projects is vital. An understanding of electrical / automation engineering would be an advantage. There will also be some occasional foreign travel involved as part of the role.
