Maintenance Team Leader

• Manage the day to day maintenance activities in an operations area through the following key activities: Execution of the 7 day plan and breakdown response. Communicate formally with Shift Operations Management Team each day to ensure activities required are clearly understood and all matters arising or resolved are feedback to all affected parties.

Contribute to the flow of work through effective communication at morning meetings and open discussion of work required. Ensure all Engineering work is value adding and prioritised correctly through discussions with Production Management. Ensure submission of job requests to the planning team for work required during plant shut down.

Schedule adherence. Manage the team to ensure 7 day plans are adhered to, authorising departures from the plan only when urgent OME or SHE work is identified. Ensure clear communication of findings and completion of high priority reparative tasks in a timely manner to the agreed standards. Issues are addressed in a timely manner, 98% of inspections are completed each month.

By constant assessment and effective team working ensure that your team is involved in a programme of continual improvement to ensure an ongoing reduction of non value added activity (waste in all its forms) and a progressive movement to the lowest cost preventative maintenance.

To ensure a safe working environment is maintained at all times and team compliance with all company safety procedures and legislation. Reports any defects, short comings including any incidents and injuries immediately. Assists with company investigations, risk assessments, SSOW (Safe Systems of Work) and developing procedures as required.

• Conduct regular audits to ensure all staff are engaged in continuous and ongoing housekeeping that illustrates a healthy attitude to the workplace and all areas are maintained at a high level of general housekeeping

• Comply with the sites environmental management system (EMS), including environmental procedures and work instructions, to ensure compliance with legal and other requirements to which the company subscribes.
Ensure all raw materials are used efficiently and actively work to reduce environmental impact.

Who we're looking for
To have a recognised Engineering qualification e.g. a time served Apprenticeship or a University Degree.
To be a proactive member of the team, communicating in a positive manner with colleagues and management.
To respect individuals, and communicate issues immediately to your line supervisor.
To assist in ensuring the operation runs smoothly and safely and produces products of the correct quality that meets the customer specification, whilst complying with company environmental standards.
To demonstrate attention to detail as Outlined in the Competency Framework.
To demonstrate the company values as set out in the Values Statement.
You will participate in the induction process and formalised training as directed by Management.
You will participate in the annual Performance Management System and contribute to your Personal Development Plan each year.
