Operations Manager

Chilled/Frozen Food

This is a fantastic new opportunity for an Operations Manager to take charge of a growing business and to further develop the operations on-site, and to create new commercial opportunities. This person will be based in the South with responsibilities which will include:

• Overseeing the daily functioning of the site
• Reporting into the Group General Manager
• Looking for areas of growth for the company
• Developing plans for the future of the site to increase both efficiency and profitability
• Managing the flexibility and co operation of the workforce
• Identifying potential areas and functions that need more focus at particular times and the subsequent organisation of the workforce

Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will have:
• Worked in a chilled or frozen food environment
• A strong commercial understanding of the food industry
• The ability to show a history of making sensible, commercial decisions
• Good leadership and management skills
• A forward thinking and pro-active approach to work
• Proven balance of managerial and hands-on, implementation experience
