Field Support Technician

You will form part of a small and dedicated team providing optimum desk side support services to several sites in the South West. You will ensure maximum business benefit is available and continues to be available from the company's computer hardware, software and communications systems.
Responsibilities:
•Process and resolve logged support incidents meeting SLA commitments
•Carry out Installations / Moves / Adds / Changes
•Carry out system changes
• Various system housekeeping activities
• Produce and update a wide variety of support documentation
• Regular reporting
•Participate in small projects when required
•Conduct product testing

Who we're looking for
•Communication with3rd parties and colleagues, both written and verbally
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Ability to work with 3rd parties
• Providing quality services
• Prioritise effectively against changing circumstances
• Must hold a current UK Driving Licence
• Be willing to travel on a regular basis with some overnight stays
• Working on own and within a team environment
• Problem solving from field or desk side
• Full competence with Microsoft Desktop operating systems (Windows XP and Windows 7)including associated technologies
• Microsoft Active Directory (2003 / 2008)
• Desk top, laptop and peripheral hardware configurations
• Hardware fault diagnosis skills
• Deployment technologies and products (such as SCCM / Ghost / Altiris / True Image)
• Networking technologies (such as wireless / VPN) and cabling systems
