An exciting opportunity for an experienced Compliance Practitioner to join our team based in Fareham, Hants within the capacity of Compliance Business Partner. The UK Legal & Compliance team aim to be the centre of excellence and lead the way internally for other teams around the globe therefore this is an exciting new role within the UK compliance team and as such an opportunity for the job holder to really make their mark. As Compliance Business Partner you will manage stakeholder relationships within the personal lines business unit to ensure delivery of regulatory expertise in line with business strategy & objectives. You will be the focal point to embed compliance and establish strong engagement across leadership, assurance and regulator levels. You will deputise for the Head of Compliance in appropriate forums and provide constructive opinion and guidance within business leadership meetings and wider forums where appropriate.
Who we're looking for
To be successful in this role, you will have gained previous operational compliance experience to management level within the Financial Services industry, with strong knowledge of UK regulatory and governance issues. Knowledge of the General Insurance industry and appropriate knowledge of the FSA Handbook and the Financial Services and Markets Act and other legislation. You will also need to have gained previous experience of stakeholder management to senior level and demonstrate excellent communication and influencing skills to drive compliance within your given business area. This role will not involve people management however you will be responsible for providing coaching and guidance across the compliance team.
