• Develop an annual "added value" strategy for facilities, coordinating the provision of efficient and effective facilities services to all centres, to enhance our guests shopping experience.
• Identify and recommend appropriate sourcing strategies for building and service maintenance contracts, prepare tender documentation in line with company guidelines, and negotiate with contractors to ensure that value is maximized
• Work with the Health Safety and Sustainability Manager and Environmental Advisor to develop proactive strategies to reduce centres and our Brand Partner's carbon footprint.
• Centrally monitor all utilities, waste/recycling services at the Centres, such as electricity, gas and water, all waste/recycling streams setting targets for Facilities Managers to achieve, as group energy champion.
• Work with the Head of Property to review and negotiate combined and cross border utility contracts where possible to maximise purchasing power and reduce operating costs.
• Ensure all of our centres meet the responsible property investment programmes required by our investors and the company best practice, negotiate and procure the best service agreements.
• Develop a Group and Country/Regional company approved list of suppliers and contractors for all service provisions and contracts for annual contracts, reactive works and contract works.
Project Management:
• Support the Head of Property in securing and managing income generating projects on behalf of the business, coordinating all internal and external teams, to ensure that such projects are delivered on time and to budget.
Who we're looking for
• Membership to Chartered Institute of Purchasing Supply (Designator letters MCIPS) is desirable.
• Relevant Purchasing qualification e.g. NVQ level 4 in supply chain management or CIPS graduate diploma in purchasing is essential.
• Construction experience is essential.
• Educated to 'A' Level. Degree qualification is desirable.
• Budgetary formulation, control and monitoring are essential.
• Proven facilities management experience essential
• Relevant Facilities qualifications such as BIFM certificates desirable.
• Team management experience is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.
• Strong analytical skills are essential.
• IT skills: Intermediate Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint are essential.
• Customer service experience and awareness is essential.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 management standards desirable.
• Nebosh General Certificate or Construction Certificate in H&S desirable.
• IEMA environmental qualification desirable.
