Category Development Executive

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and capable marketer who is looking to make their mark within FMCG. You will need to demonstrate a broad range of commercial marketing skills and work closely with the sales and marketing teams to support the overall business category plan across brand and own label.
Responsibilities will include:
• Category planning - Private label and Branded
• New Product Development (NPD) planning and implementation
• Existing Product Development (EPD) planning and implementation
• Project management
• Customer specification management
• Generate design brief to customer
• Pack copy management - agreement of claims with customer/ technical spec pack copy submission/ arrange & attend pre artwork meetings.
• First production attendance/management
• Cost Of Product planning and implementation
• Marketing support activities
• Bi-annually SWOT reviews of incumbent ranges - via Category Reviews
• Monthly store visits to develop and maintain a good understanding of retailer strategy (discounters, multiples & premium)
• Product Launch Meeting Attendance

Who we're looking for
A confident and driven marketer who is looking for a broad role utilising category and brand management skills. You will be client facing (on the Tesco account team) and also have to work closely across all commercial departments.
