Vice President Control Reporting with management responsibility for the Regulatory Control & Reporting element of the Control team. The role will be focused on delivery of key business activities performed on behalf of the business in London, and senior management. Key duties will consist of a range of tasks including the following:
- Analysis of Key Risk Indicators (KRI) and Environmental Risk Indicators (ERI) in collaboration with the business to determine risk exposures
- Collation and assessment of risk and control reporting on a weekly / monthly basis including coordination of the Global Control Reporting pack production for all product areas
- Extraction & analysis of data from the control system for senior management
- Drive accurate and timely delivery of all team requirements and manage individual team member development
- Coordinate the reappraisal of SOX testing requirements and manage timely completion of testing across all areas
- Review and track audit point and new product approval delivery and co-ordinate the production of senior management status updates
- Support the delivery of the STARC (Standards & Responsibilities for Control) recertification process across all areas
- Work in collaboration with the Control team to manage project transition
- Work as part of the Control management team to develop and implement the next generation operating model within this area.
Who we're looking for
Ideally looking for an outgoing, confident candidate who has a strong understanding of risk & control and previous Investment Banking experience. They should be comfortable dealing with senior management & show they have the ability to build relationships & have proven networking skills.
Critical:
- Excellent awareness of Risk & Control
- Previous Investment Banking experience<BR>Experience of process analysis
- Strong analytical skills & interpretation of data
- Ability to influence
- Strong track record of delivery
- A proven self starter who shows attention to detail, meets deadlines and is a team player
- Ability to learn new concepts quickly & have confidence to work through unfamiliar processes.
- Good communication skills both written and oral
- Good time management skills - ability to work on multiple streams of work where required
- Flexibility and adaptability - ability to react positively to change and reprioritise where needed
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Preferred:
- Previous Control experience<BR>Degree educated with a proven track record in the requirements listed above
- Exposure to senior management within the business
- The opportunity to be instrumental in the development of the control team in Birmingham.
