Job Description
To assist the Group Project Accountant and Group Tax Manager with Group reporting responsibilities and Group direct tax compliance, including assisting with specific project work as necessary.



Key Performance Areas

Assist in the preparation of the consolidated Group accounts at year end and at the half year end.
Calculation of the Group's IFRS 2 charge for half year, full year and for forecasting and budgeting purposes.
Preparation of IAS 39 effectiveness testing for the Group's portfolio of derivatives.
Production of year end statutory accounts for the PLC entity and Group subsidiaries where the accounting is undertaken by the Group office.
Assist in the preparation of the Group's annual budget and quarterly reforecasts.
Assisting in the preparation of monthly board reports.
Working with the Group Tax Manager to ensure the timely preparation and submission of the Group's corporation tax returns. .
'Tagging' of statutory accounts under iXBRL format for submission with Group's corporation tax returns.
Produce the tax information (corporation and deferred tax) required for inclusion in the year end and half year group accounts and subsidiary accounts, including IAS 12 disclosures. In addition to this assist in providing information for inclusion in the Audit Committee papers. Liaise with the auditors ensuring they are able to sign of the tax charges in the accounts.
Own and reconcile the group tax accounts in the nominal ledger. Including the proof of the tax creditor calculations.
Review, maintain and improve tax data information collection used to prepare the Group's tax returns (including VAT and payroll) and ensure documentation of data collection procedures is up to date.
Ad hoc involvement in tax and accounting projects.

Who we're looking for
ACA qualified
Statutory accounting experience, both consolidated and entity
Advanced use of Excel
IFRS 2 accounting
Ability to work in a small team environment
Ability to communicate with external professional bodies - eg. Auditors and tax advisers
