Product Manager

Consumer

Work with the Marketing Manager and other marketing team members to devise and implement an effective marketing strategy across all products & services within the business in the UK. The Product Manager will be responsible for reviewing the competitive environment, conducting research, developing and recommending the marketing mix, helping to bring new products and services to market, maintaining performance after launch and recommending and implementing consumer communications.

Consumer Products:
• Develop in-depth knowledge of consumer market for furniture care and repair products. Monitor competitor and market activity in order to contribute to strategy.
• Support marketing manager in sourcing of consumer products. Develop good product knowledge and liaise with suppliers to finalise product specifications, pack formats and packaging development.
• Contribute to launch plan development and manage origination of required materials and execution of targeted marketing activities.

Trade Products:
• Support trade marketing executive in development and implementation of activities to support retailer sales of plans.
• Contribute to blue sky thinking and research initiatives to develop our product offering and customer service performance in the plans sector.

Services:
• Support marketing manager in the evaluation and scoping of opportunities and strategy in this sector.
• Support marketing assistant in delivery of activities to support and develop the franchise operation.

Who we're looking for
• Solidmarketing experience ideally within a FMCG or consumer durables environment in an Assistant Product Manager or Product Manager role.
• A self starter who demonstrates a proactive and hands-on approach and is able to think and act autonomously.
• Good attention to detail and analytical skills; is able to interrogate data and information to draw conclusions and make recommendations.
• Applies a creative approach to marketing, considering new ideas and approaches.
• Must have experience of packaging development and be able to manage projects from design through to origination.
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects.
