To manage the collection, storage and promotion of competitive business intelligence information (BI), providing timely commercial insight to relevant internal and external stakeholders and advancing the business goals of the organisation.
• Establish BI as a key business function within the organisation • Utilise all information sources available to provide relevant commercial insight to the wider business • Management of the BI knowledge bank in terms of administration, access, updates and promotion • Management of any software platform used to facilitate and control access to the knowledge bank e.g. Microsoft SharePoint • Collation of company profile information from a wide range of internal and external sources • Identification and evaluation of external corporate information providers (e.g. Profound, Reuters etc) • Monitoring of best practice in information gathering and recommending appropriate solutions • Investigate and recommend solutions to fill any identified knowledge gaps • Communicate relevant 'news' to the wider business • Secondary research to support ad hoc information requests from Senior Management • Support wider group business development projects as required
Who we're looking for
Knowledge/Experience<BR> • Experience of supporting a business with the provision of business intelligence • Broad commercial awareness from a number of different sectors including FMCG • Advanced computer software skills • Ability to convert large volumes of data into insight • Experience of analysing. interpreting and presenting detailed company information (e.g. financial reports) to a senior management team
