Updated March 13, 2012
As Service Delivery & Problem Manager, part of your role will be to manage the company's current supplier relationships to ensure they are performing at an effective level, adhering to SLA's in relation to contracted services and ensuring the SLA's are achieved.
You will facilitate and implement the above by ensuring that the adverse impact of incidents and problems on the business that are caused by errors within the IT infrastructure is minimised and by focusing on the causes of these errors in order to address the root cause of incidents.
The company's Service Desk was recently outsourced and as such, the successful candidate will, on an ongoing basis, be responsible for ensuring that the model is effective and fit for purpose for the business.
In addition to this you will also be required to head up service review meetings to cover performance, service improvements, quality and processes. Similarly, you will effectively monitor, control and support service delivery, ensuring systems, methodologies and procedures are followed and produce management and account performance reports to an agreed schedule or upon request.
As infrastructure changes are designed, you will be required to validate changes and appreciate the ramifications (capacity planning etc).
You will be required to demonstrate the following:
• Flexibility • working with key stakeholders / stakeholder management • working with 3rd party suppliers/vendors • Managing a support environment within a global or multi-regional organisation • ITIL v3 experience/qualifications, focused especially on Service and / or Problem Management
