The Sales Director's main task is to drive incremental revenue, third party relationships and ultimately the profitability of the attraction.
You will be responsible for generating new business to achieve an ambitious growth strategy and aspiration to become the most desired leisure attraction to visit in the UK.
This role will have 2 direct reports: Deputy Manager for Operations and Deputy Manager for Commercial:
• Building and capitalising on a wide network of contacts externally gaining third party relationships to drive custom
• Oversee the Sales and Marketing activity of the operation alongside the Commercial Manager to ensure market growth and profitability
• Analysing, understanding and getting to know the local community and surrounding areas
• Setting budgetary and financial strategies
• Taking a proactive approach to generating new custom from domestic and overseas tourists and visitors.
• Implementing strategies to constantly improve customer satisfaction and park development as well as increasing secondary spend
• Ensuring the operation stays one step ahead of the competition
Who we're looking for
This is an exciting and pivotal role within the operation. Reporting to a remotely based MD, you will have a demonstrable track record for delivering progressive consumer led sales programmes, ideally within the leisure attractions and events arena.
You must be a strong communicator and be well versed with the Sales and Marketing strategies needed to drive customer and visitor numbers proactively.
You will need a flexible approach to work in a fast paced and challenging environment and will be able to lead, motivate and inspire your team to deliver financial targets.

My client is one of South Wales' leading entertainment attractions and one of the UK's Top 10 Tourist attractions. With a rich history for delivering strong customer service and World leading infrastructure they are looking for a Sales Director to increase footfall and exploit commercial opportunities. Entertainment attractions in the region enjoy strong tourist numbers as well as local visitors but is a highly competitive market. Your task will be to obtain market share on your competition through proactive selling and marketing of the attraction and events to all potential markets.
The Group that own the attraction have a number of Global operations that could provide a long term career plan for a successful candidate.
