The key responsibilities are; • Managing a portfolio of international trademarks in order to advise clients on strategy for the purposes of brand extension and liaising with trademark agents in order to deal with oppositions, cancellations, new applications and renewals. • Providing training to clients to meet their requirements in respect of protecting their intellectual property and avoiding infringement. • Advising on all aspects of intellectual property law including licensing, contract law, data protection, privacy and online regulation. • Providing support on corporate transactions. • Implementing anti-counterfeit strategies for clients for the purposes of dealing with infringing domains, international and UK counterfeit sales and liaising with Trading Standards, customs and such other enforcement agencies as may be appropriate; • Dealing with contentious IP issues regarding copyright, trademark and design right infringement. • Responsible for and ensuring that your files and engagement is compliant with SRA regulatory regime. • Responsible for delivering enhanced value to the stakeholders of the business • Responsible for client service delivery, i.e. managing own work streams and delivery • Ensuring that Business Development leads are brought into the business and that the right person within the Client Management team is notified and acting on it. • Overtly supporting the businesses decisions within your peer group and encouraging your peer group
Who we're looking for
You will be keen to be part of the Firm's strategy and a seasoned IP lawyer. You may have a mix of both contentious and non contentious experience although those with purely non contentious experience will definitely be considered. With an ability to business develop, you will have a real opportunity to progress and grow your area moving forward.
