The main responsibilities of the role include;
•Leading a team managing Direct Marketingprogrammes forboth acquisition and retention.
• Create a business plan and budget for your Direct Marketing campaignareas of responsibility with milestones, timescales and KPIs in order to maximise success.
• Leading on the Direct Marketing strategy for integrated campaigns with the aim of acquiring and retaining supporters and maximising the value of the relationship.
• Manage an extensive portfolio of Direct Marketing projects (activities including press, TV, direct mail, telemarketing, email
and online) ensuring they are delivered on time and meet objectives.
• Set, monitor and control income and expenditure in relation to agreed budgets and produce regular forecasts.
• Work with other department managers to enhance the lifetime value of supporters across the organisation.
• Manage relationships with external agencies and suppliers.
• To effectively line manage one Direct Marketing executive.

Who we're looking for
The successful candidate must have;
• Proven successful experience in Direct Marketing within the Charity and/or Commercial sector.
• Proven successful experience of managing large complex Direct Marketing budgets and campaigns.
• Proven strategic and financial planning experience<BR>• Experience of analysing and reporting on the performance of Direct Marketing campaigns.
• Experience of using databases for reporting and analysis results for Direct Marketing campaigns.
• Project management skills.
• Previous line management would be ideal.
