In this role asProject Assurance Manager for this insurance company based in the South East, you will be responsible for conducting Project Management Assurance activities in line with the Project Assurance Framework used by the business. You will ensure that critical projects are independently assessed at agreed intervals to confirm if they are on-track to deliver the required scope within time, cost and risk constraints. This is a newly created role which demonstrates the business focus on delivering projects of the highest quality and is a key role to help the organisation through some of the most challenging projects the industry has seen.
Who we're looking for
• A highly competent project professional with vast experience managing large programmes of work. • Strong programme and assurance management skills combined with detailed understanding of required methodologies and a track record of the successful delivery of large, complex programmes of more than £5m in value • Experience of conducting programme assurance reviews in a collaborative style providing coaching, help and support to project and programme managers • The ability to build strong and effective working relationships with change and programme managers to agree recovery plans to return projects to delivery health • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong coaching and mentoring skills and a desire to work with programme managers and their teams to keep programmes on track and improve performance by working with them to construct 'recovery plans' for failing programmes. Gravitas to command respect and give advice and guidance to experienced project managers who are running multi-million pound projects
