A permanent position is available for a Data Protection/Privacy Lawyer to join a Technology Company based in Guildford.

The role involves:
• Advising on and implementing the companies privacy compliance strategy and best practice policies;
• Providing guidance on Data Protection and Privacy implication in respect of the companies products and services;
• Develop and support the business sponsor/representatives network to ensure compliant processes and procedures are in place;
• Provide support to the Legal Team as required in relation to the Freedom of Information Act;
• Ensure implementation of Group Data Protection Policies;
• Received and process data subject information requests, and ensure these requests are complied with in line with agreed procedures;
• Carry out impact assessments and audits for Data Protection compliance;
• Provide compliance management information and statistics to the Group.

Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will:
• Be Data Protection ISEB Qualified (or equivalent qualification);
• Have a working knowledge of the role of a Data Protection/Privacy Lawyer within a technology company;
• Have a working knowledge of Privacy audits, Privacy Impact Assessments and remedial programmes;
• Have a working knowledge of UK Privacy legislation and relevant regulations and codes of practice;
• Have a working knowledge of EU Privacy legislation, its regulatory requirements, and a general understanding of worldwide privacy laws;
• Have project management skills.
