Commercial Manager - Forecourt

The role of Commercial Manager - Forecourt will report directly in to the Head of Format. The role will have the following tasks and measures associated with it:-
• Range selection, development and management for all categories to maximise sales and margin
• To work in collaboration with business colleagues to manage stock, availability, waste and markdowns for all product ranges in forecourt stores.
• Regular and effective communication to stores, supply chain, logistics, marketing and any other relevant departments regarding Forecourt stores
• Negotiating with suppliers where relevant to deliver the most efficient supply chain at the lowest cost
• Work with Merchandising on macro & micro space allocations

Who we're looking for
My client is looking for the following skills:-
• Commercial acumen - you will need to have the ability to judge the market and maximise sales and margin
• Retail market knowledge - experience of Forecourt Retail / Merchandising
• An understanding of supply chain and promotion mechanics
• Use customer insight, market knowledge to create compelling customer offer's
• Suitable candidates would be from a Buying background or from the trade
