Procurement Specialist

Within this role, you will be responsible for the following;
• Planning and sourcing of goods and materials to support regional strategic plans.
• Ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
•Issue and agree contracts for the procurement of goods and services not currently defined under the operational category management plan.
• Raise purchase orders for relevant business areas and manage to fulfilment.
• Creation of all relevant "Requests for Quotations" and issues Tender processes to suppliers with the aim of achieving optimal quality at best possible cost.
• Assisting the purchasing team in the creation and ongoing maintenance of the capital equipment inventory list.
• Engagement with wider business areas including projects, finance, operations, technology and sales.

Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following;
• Degree education or equivalent in Procurement or a related field e.g. Business or Finance.
• Experience within the oil & gas sector in a procurement related position.
• MCIPS would be a distinct advantage.
• An understanding of SAP and procurement systems.
• German or Russian business speaking candidates would be preferable, but not essential.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong commercial awareness.
