Indirects Procurement is a function which offers procurement support services and subject matter expertise in, procurement, strategic sourcing and compliance management to all divisions within this business.
As the Senior Buyer you will be expected to provide IT cross category support where required. Working in conjunction with other purchasing managers and senior buyers in multiple countries.
Core Duties include;
• Responsible for the development and ownership of their portfolio's strategy within the IT Category
• Responsible for the negotiation, draft and review of contracts for goods/services within assigned categories, to maximize cost reduction, timely delivery
• Responsible for managing the relationship with internal customers to meet / exceed expectations.
• Responsible for the identification and delivery of synergies and P & L benefits across all businesses
• Responsible for leading and coordinating of sourcing activities within the IT Portfolio. This will include Professional Services, Software, Hardware and Telecommunications.
• Accountable for the production of Category Plans for the IT Category
• Responsible for supplier relationship management processes, including implementing appropriate supplier management techniques
• Accountable for supporting and deputising for the Indirects Procurement Managers wherever required.
• Responsible for other duties as may be assigned by the Indirects Procurement Management team.
Who we're looking for
• The ideal candidate will be of degree educated and MCIPS Qualified (or working towards)
• Ability to lead, prioritise and manage complex projects and sourcing activities under pressure
• Ability to manage and analyse complex data under pressure
• Must have the ability to make decisions independently and knowledge of when to escalate issues.
• Able to provide briefs, updates and reports for senior management reviews within an international environment.
• Awareness of Change Management Techniques and conversion into effective delivery
• Strong Communication
• Multi-Lingual, in particular German or French language skills desirable
• Excellent Negotiation and Strategic Sourcing ability.
• Strong Contracting skills
• Be prepared to think in global terms for all procurement activities. Must be flexible and adaptable to new processes, quick change
