A fantastic opportunity has arisen for Senior Policy Advisor. As the suitable candidate you will:
To design and conduct demanding policy and research projects. Typically for each project:
• Identify areas for work that support organisation's overall priorities. Areas may cover both system-wide policy, as well as internal policy supporting organisation's regulatory operations (such as assessment and compliance)
• Ensure high-quality delivery through:
• Analysing complex problems with a high degree of analytical rigour, to tight deadlines
• Managing a varied range of input, from senior academics, government departments and other agencies, external consultants,.
• Developing solutions with maximum practical benefit

To support the Policy Director in influencing government departments and other agencies, such that their policies support and develop an affordable, devolved healthcare system.
• Develop and work with a broad network of relationships across the sector, so as to be included naturally in, and contribute early to, relevant policy and performance conversations. Relationships would include No 10, Prime Minister's Delivery Unit, Prime Minister's Strategy Unit, HM Treasury and the Audit Commission
• Structure and write responses to consultation and third party reports, and draft Chairman and Chief Executive correspondence
• Structure and write internal and external reports
• Contribute policy content to presentations, speeches and meetings for the Chief Executive, Chairman and other Board Members

Who we're looking for
My client is looking for a candidate with:
• a first class intellect and strong problem-structuring and problem-solving skills as demonstrated in policy, strategy or research projects
• experience with government/civil service and/or major strategy consulting organisations
• the ability to plan and run policy studies to deadlines
• good interpersonal communication skills
• strong presentational skills, particularly in writing
• the ability to build credibility and influence senior audiences on complex topics
• the drive to maintain momentum despite obstacles and delivering high-quality policy or research end-products
• a real high flyer.
