Responsible for managing all aspects of website content including style, tone-of-voice, the development of product guides, product cross-sell placements and ensuring the site is completely up to date and provides customers with reliable, informed and expert advice. Optimisation of pages for conversion to quote for all products.
1. Create and deliver an effective strategy and master content calendar to develop web content for the brand and products.
2. Create, develop and manage/co-ordinate content changes through a CMS and the rest of the business including the development of the CMS
3. Manage and continually develop the site working across the business.
4. Work closely with the Marketing, Customer Services, Business Development, Legal/Compliance, IT, usability/research and SEO teams to develop and optimise the website for the user and search engines.
5. Ensure that all content is consistent with the house style and tone of voice with all content factually correct and up to date.
6. Manage development projects to ensure they are delivered to time and to budget.
7. Contribute to maintaining corporate image and reputation, to protect and develop the company's brand.
8. Track and report on all key site metrics

The successful Website Editor will have the following key attributes:
Personality: Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality content. Strong time management skills to deliver multiple project to time and budget. Reliable, tolerant, and determined. Empathic communicator, able to see things from the other person's point of view. Able to get on with others and be a team-player. Must have a strong attention to detail with a strong assertive personality to deliver excellence in delivery
Computer Skills: Must be adept in using of MS Office 2000 or later, particularly Excel and Word, Internet and email. Experience in using content management systems.
Literacy & Numeracy: Strong literacy and numeracy skills required to write and review creatives and to understand internal and external reporting is correct and accurate.
Management Ability: Must be a strong project manager and able to manage agencies and other business departments to get the best from them.
