• To strategically manage the maintenance and development of the site facilities, engineering services plant, and the supply and distribution of the main utility services. • To proactively manage all site service functions to support Site Operations. • To effectively lead in house team and contract service providers including facilities, utilities, security, engineering stores and canteen. • To lead and drive continuous improvement in site facilities including safety, quality, customer service; energy/water reduction and cost.
Who we're looking for
• Proven track record in the management of Utilities. • Experience of contract management and negotiation. • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise • Good 'customer focus' understanding the importance of delivering to time, quality & cost. • Ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation. • Effective problem solving skills
This job holder should have a technical educational background that would qualify him/her for professional engineer status, i.e. HNC or degree in an appropriate discipline, or that in combination with relevant experience.
• The job holder must have excellent communication and influencing skills, be able to motivate those working for him/her and must be able to make and implement decisions. • Must have a working knowledge and experience of computer office programs, particularly Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel, and be prepared to train on other programs e.g. Microsoft Project. • Must have a working knowledge of the engineering standards and statutory requirements for plant, machinery and workplaces applicable to a large volumefactory.
