This is one of the most high profile and challenging vacancies in the UK Logistics market. The role is to manage a state of the art partly automated distribution centre to service an e-commerce offering and also part of the UK retail network.Partly automated, the site will have 800,000 square feet of warehousing space and employ 1400 people at peak periods. The role will take responsibility for the successful start up and the ongoing management of this facility.

Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and experience of running automated distribution operations. It is also desirable that the candidate will have prior exposure to e-commerce fulfilment and new depot start up. Of equal importance is a leadership style and management ability that is capable of leading a site of this scale.
You will be CPC qualified and have a proven track record of performance management within a retail distribution environment covering chilled, frozen and ambient storage, as well as clothing and finished goods.
