This position has arisen within an ambitious organisation based in the UK. TigerTurf, a recently acquired business under the TenCate brand, is seeking a Business Controller who can effectively analyse and interpret financial and management information to drive a culture of continuous improvement adding value to the operations teams. The Business Controller will report to the Managing Director of TigerTurf whilst delivering the financial information through to a Divisional Controller based in the Global head office based in Europe.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Providing qualitative, quantitative and meaningful business performance information against targets on a regular basis
• Communicating the results to stakeholders ensuring that they are effectively delivered to the organisation
• Managing the corporate requirements of Royal TenCate and supporting the business by providing timely and accurate management information
• Conducting detailed reviews and analysis of financial statements and management reports including variance analysis
• Assisting in the development of an annual budget and working with the Managing Director
• Pro-actively suggesting and implementation of process and procedural improvements
• Partnering with and provision of a decision support function to the senior management team
Who we're looking for
This role requires a commercially minded individual with the ability to engage with stakeholders both internally and externally. The ideal candidate will have had significant post-qualification exposure including challenging key business decisions. This role partners with the Managing Director and requires the gravitas to influence the senior management team and to report effective information directly to the group function whilst also demonstrating the adaptability to communicate with the entire business.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate effective business partnering skills and be able to provide evidence of where this support has generated tangible financial results for a previous employer.
You will ideally have the following attributes:
• A professional qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with the significant controls exposure
• The ability to influence, challenge and impact key stakeholders at both a local and group level
• A 'hands-on' and detail focused approach and a track-record in supporting and driving business change
• The demonstrable traits of a leader with the ability to successfully motivate and develop a team
• Understanding of the key challenges that face a similar business having had hands-on exposure in a prior role

TigerTurf UK is a TenCate company specialising in the manufacturing, sales & production of artificial turf to the sport and recreational market primarily in the UK. Employing 30 staff in the West Midlands with an annual turnover of around £10m the company is looking to gain further market share in a highly specialised market. TenCate is an acquisitive and multinational organisation within various markets focusing on production of functional fabrics and materials with distinctive characters.
