Procurement Manager - Ireland

Within this role you will be responsible for the following;
• Overall leadership and strategic development of the procurement function for your designated region.
• Proactive identification of new and alternative sourcing opportunities with benefit analysis.
• Providing procurement expertise to ensure the optimum contract terms at lowest cost and highest quality.
• Rationalisation of the current supplier list.
• Management and reporting on KPI performance to the board.
• Engagement with the UK and European teams with regards to change management and implementation projects.
• Issue resolution with given suppliers and key vendors.
• Engagement with the depot managers, sales, finance and HR teams to ensure full communication is in place for new supplier engagement.
• Promotion of best practice within the procurement team and new processes implemented where appropriate.

Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will possess the following;
• A proven track record within a Head of Procurement position.
• Experience of working within a 3PL organisation is advantageous.
• CIPS is essential.
• Strong negotiation skills are essential for this position.
• An understanding of world class sourcing techniques are essential.
