My client is a small bank specialising in retail banking products, notably, savings products for those who wish to bank within the rules and regulations of Sharia Law. Specialising in products for both High Net Worth Individuals and marketing tocustomers from a typically professional segment of the Islamic community, this is a unique bank with aspecific proposition in ethical banking products. In addition to the 7 branches and growing on line presence, my client has recently expanded into an agency based operation, where financial advisors work in association with leading estate agents et al to present banking solutions to the customer in person. This a bespoke method of engaging with a very specific market segment, and as such requires a marketing candidate who can work closely with the community, and advise best practise to the bank. To be successful in this role, you must be able to demonstrate a working, practical knowledge of Sharia law, and or the nuances of marketing successfully to the Islamic culture. Although the working language of the business is English, understanding of Urdu / Arabic are desirable as you will be involved in operating focus groups and other qualitative forms of research.
