The successful candidate will be a apart of the Primary improvement / Process Engineering team. The role is needed to fulfil objectives in order to optimise, improve, primary manufacturing processes and equipment therefore it is a business critical role. You will play a key part in what is Novartis' centre of excellence.
The Process Engineer will be responsible for;
• Ensuring the manufacturing process capital projects are implemented on time and to budget, you will be managing your own project portfolio.
• Identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement and optimisation of the plant operation and solving technical operational problems using process engineering techniques to diagnose the causes and generate the most appropriate solutions
• Provide specialist process engineering expertise in the development, control and implementation of equipment and procedural change to the manufacturing process
• Delivery of complete and successful area design, construction and qualification
• Supporting the improvement of existing products through process development and optimisation of processes. Small scale studies will be carried out.
• There will be a significant amount of data analysis within the role needed to ensure effective troubleshooting and continuous improvements.
Who we're looking for
The Process Engineer will be degree qualified or equivalent in a Chemical or Process Engineering discipline with a proven track record of success in implementing Projects that are moderate in scale. They will be able to demonstrate the application of broad or specialised process Engineering principles and practices, and also Project Management principles and practices, and will have successfully led the design and implementation of moderate to large capital or operational investment Projects. You should give continued operational support and have knowledge of supporting day to day operations ensuring the department runs as efficiently and effectively as possible. There will significant work with key equipment items where documentation will need to looked at and prepared.They will be a part of the management team and therefore must be able to adopt a culture of participation, involvement and the proactive pursuit of continuous improvement and change. It is essential the suitable candidate is a proven self starter who is effective in educating those around them in pushing technical understanding. Your enthusiasm for the role and responsibilities should be infectious and have a positive impact on the people within your team.
