Treasury Manager

The role will involve:

• Execution and delivery of quality Management Information to ALCO, Group Board, rating agencies, regulators and other key internal and external stakeholders
• Support the delivery of ad-hoc projects impacting capital management or involving an element of capital raising

The role holder will:
• Ensure that high quality analysis and assessment is provided to senior management in respect of projects impacting rating agency position or involving some capital raising element. This is particularly important as rating agency metrics are key performance indicators for the Group and are a key component of the Group's MI set. The correct MI helps to ensure the correct strategic decisions being taken (e.g. with respect to Group's ability to issue more debt).
• Become a key point of contact with our rating agencies, especially with regards to modelling the Group's capitalisation under the S&P Model
• Build appropriate professional contact with the individual rating agencies (S&P and Moody's in particular), understand their rating rationale and be able to provide information to support or improve Group's rating
• Effective and timely delivery of monthly rating agency KPIs for Treasury management information.
• Joint ownership of the preparation of the annual rating agency reviews with S&P, Moody's and AM Best.
• Provide other ad hoc support to the team, taking responsibility over various ratings related projects, queries and reviews as and when required
• Provide support to other Group functions in respect of rating agency impacts (e.g. M&A)

Who we're looking for
QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree and recognised accounting or actuarial qualification

EXPERIENCE:
• Significant experience in the insurance industry or banking world
• Proven ability to work with accountants and/or actuaries
• Proven ability to understand and quantify financial risk
• Ability to take initiative and constructively challenge the status quo

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE:
• Strong knowledge of and experience in the insurance market
• Knowledge of accounting and regulatory requirements
• Strong analytic, interpretative and modelling skills
• Ability to provide clear rationale to support recommendations
• Ability to manage time
• Effective communication and influencing skills
• Credibility with external stakeholders
