Buying Manager Homewares maternity cover

The role of the Homewares buying manager would include:
• identify potential suppliers and assess their suitability
• Trial equipment in the business with the design standards group
• Write the buying plan and agree this with my Manager
• identify supply chain solutions to get the product into the business on time
• continually assess and review the supply base to deliver price, quality and availability
• Deliver the buying plan
• meet with internal stakeholders to understand what I need to buy/sell or promote to help them deliver their strategy
• inform the administrator of the agreed prices
• accountable for all product & supplier administration accuracy through the admin assistant or Assistant Buyer
• review, maintain and re-negotiate the necessary legal contracts
• review competitive offering in my area
• follow the Commercial rules and ensure suppliers are listed and de-listed correctly
• have the accountability of all the purchasing processes and systems
