National Sales Director

This leading Business Services organisation, with a track record of innovation and profitable growth is seeking a highly capable individual who is ready to lead the sales team from the front as well as focusing on acquiring new and retaining existing business.

This new role, reporting directly to a member of the company's Operating Board, has been created to head up a team of senior sales professionals.
Success in this role will be dependent upon the ability to assess the current situation, identify the end goal, then design and implement a map to inspire people to follow your leadership and direction to move forward. Whilst driving revenue growth is a clear objective, it's also crucial that margins are upheld

This is a collaborative role where you'll need to build relationships with key stakeholders allowing customers to recognise the added value service offering.

Much more than a traditional Sales role, this represents an opportunity to take responsibility for inspiring and motivating the sales team whilst driving growth and ensuring high attention to detail

In equal parts both a strategic and day-to-day sales leadership role, the challenge - and the excitement - comes from being empowered to lead the drive to become a truly outstanding business unit and delivering measurable, sustainable results.

Who we're looking for
We're looking for someone who stands out from the crowd with skills in the following areas:

• Extensive experience of new business and account management
• Adept at managing complex negotiations associated with multi-channel & multi-site
• A Business services background is essential: Mail, Logistics or Facilities Management would be preferred
• Commercially astute with the ability to add value and drive profitable business
• A truly innovative and inspirational leader of people and teams
• A proven track record in re-evaluating business processes and implementing change
• Using innovative techniques to take new ideas to market
• Adept at influencing internal and external decision makers at Board level
• A holistic, strategic thinker, with proven managerial experience
