Buying Manager

• As a Buying Manager your key responsibilities will include:
• Working closely with the marketing team to ensure all product innovation opportunities are maximised
• Deliver year end stockholding levels and brought margin for departments
• Manage team to ensure all the buying processes are well prepared and executed effectively
• Work with retail managers on range building and planning to ensure there is joint ownership for every product
• Develop a constant stream of product innovation for all product categories whilst maintaining a core range of brand and commercial products
• Range planning to ensure right products at right price points
• Strong management of supply base
• Manage the quality assurance and recall process
• Negotiate with suppliers to ensure best terms on all products
• Planning of rates of sales, stockholding and margin management for categories
• Deliver year end stockholding levels for departments
• Deliver bought margin target
• Interpret market trends and then prepare information on colour trends and graphic trends for designers
• Work with Licensors in developing bespoke product
• Work with logistics
• Source product from both Far East and UK, US and Europe based

Who we're looking for
In order to be considered for this role as Buying Manager you will need:
• Background within Buying and examples of managing a team
• Excellent negotiation and commercial skills
• Strong analytical skills
