This role will be responsible for providing ad hoc support to the Strategy and Corporate teams including research, policy briefing, support to the Chair and Chief Executive and key issue analysis as required. As the suitable candidate you will: • Drafting initial briefs and papers on matters arising (these could be as a result of internal or external influences) • Providing the Chair with background research in support of meetings, presentations or conferences including speeches • Working with individuals in the organsiation to ensure an accurate view of the issues and subsequently all relevant information is included in any research or briefing paper • Providing analysis and advice on external and internal research, policies and issues that may affect the operational effectiveness of the organsiation • Highlighting any issues that may be of interest to the Chair or Chief Executive
Who we're looking for
Our client requires a candidate with: • Previous experience gained in an analytical role within the public sector, financial services or the third sector • This role may suit a Fast Track Civil Servant interested in secondment to who may have worked in an analytical role within a formal graduate programme • Experience of working with senior level stakeholders successfully • Previous experience of successfully leading analytical projects through to conclusion, including influencing senior people through reasoned argument in order to achieve consensus on complex issues • Experience of delivering high quality analysis and providing insight to that analysis to form evidence based conclusions and recommendations, either in a public policy or commercial environment
This role is more about analysis of the issues rather than formulating solutions.
