The purpose of the role is to provide interpretation, advice and guidance to the business regarding regulatory compliance matters including the identification, assessment and resolution of compliance risks.
Principle Responsibilities
The work described below is not intended to be an exhaustive list.
• Work closely with Group Directors and each Head of Business Unit to ensure that each regulated Business function meets compliance requirements in relation to all regulated activity.
• Regularly review and interpret legislation and provide advice and guidance to the Group Operating Board on the business requirements.
• Acting as the second line of defence, ensure that regular internal compliance reviews are conducted (including producing reports for the audit committee) and that action plans are agreed and in place to rectify any errors and omissions.
• Support Group Operations Board Directors and Heads of Business to ensure that processes, procedures and systems of control are regularly reviewed to meet compliance requirements and that an appropriate sign off process is in place for all relevant documentation i.e. training, customer communications, distribution etc.
• Manage the compliance framework and reporting processes
• Act as key interface with FSA and other regulatory bodies
• • Review and sign off all documentation for Insurance products to ensure they are FSA compliant.

Who we're looking for
• Extensive knowledge of compliance in a regulated environment (FSA, MOJ & DPA).
• Strong relationship management skills.
• Excellent at interpreting compliance rules and regulations to identify impact upon the business.
• Attention to detail, problem solving.
• Ability to make recommendations based upon analysis
• Excellent communication skills - can engage, negotiate and influence - excellent writing skills.
• Ability to gather, analyse and evaluate facts and to prepare and present concise oral and written reports.
• Time and priority management.
• Organised.
• Flexible and self-motivated.
• Forward thinking.
•• Able to travel to multi-sites
