Executing all materials expediting activities for allocated projects and facilitating communication betweenthe businessand its selected Suppliers, in order to deliver products and services in line with ongoing business requirements. • Spending periods of time with suppliers in China (Between 2 and 4 week blocks) • Offer strong expediting support to both Procurement and internal customers. • Proactive engagement with Suppliers in order to form agreement upon leadtimes for all products and services. • Obtain written confirmation of agreed delivery dates by means of securing formal purchase order acknowledgments for all material purchases. • Demonstrate drive and tenacity by measuring Supplier delivery performance adherence within your area of responsibility. • Mediate between Buyers and Suppliers to proactively manage any potential delivery issues which may impact uponthe businessesability to meet our agreed Customers commitments. • Ensure robust countermeasure proposals are put in place to remedy any potential impacts to agreed leadtimes. • Take proactive steps with Suppliers to escalate poor performance issues to their Snr Mgt in order to gain there full support with recovery plans.
Who we're looking for
• It is an absolute requirement that the successful candidate speaks Chinese/Mandarin- This must be detailed on CV's submitted • A willingness to spend up to 4 weeks at a time in China • Some experience in a Procurement/Supply Chain role or related degree
