Junior Buyer

The successful candidate will;
• Action purchasing order messages to ensure greater than 97% material availability
• Monitor and action line stop shortages to ensure that factory can meet customer OTTR requirements
• Action purchasing exception messages as appropriate to ensure that factory can meet customer OTTR requirements whilst minimizing inventory.
• Highlight parts which could become line stops, and use sourcing and negotiation skills to resolve.
• Maintain purchasing system data accuracy
• Maintain key supplier relationships; hold buffer/forecast reviews and identify opportunities for cost saving and risk reduction.
• Identify and deliver 2% MCER (PPV) savings through cost avoidance, negotiation and project purchasing.
• Support DMEDI process through sourcing new parts to meet cost and inventory targets
• Will contribute to assisting Knaresborough inventory reduction by 1 turn
• Help drive the 5% productivity goal for 2012.
• Support the group Sourcing teams with supplier agreements that span across the Group.
• Specific project management as requested by manager

Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will have;
• Degree qualification (or equivalent)
• Experience of sourcing materials, and demsontratable record of sourcing KPI experience
• Experience of batch and single run production
• Experience of electronic/industrial/manufacturing commodities
• Ability to multitask, manage projects and measure work effectively
A working knowledge of SAP, and some CIPS study would be advantageous.
