Leading Investment Bank based in London seeks a Trade Finance Associate to join them on a permanent basis. Working within a busy Trade Services Team, dealing with all operational aspects of Trade Finance including Letters of Credit, Guarantees / Standby Letters of Credit, Financing and Collections. This is a varied role servicing the needs of both U.K corporate and Financial Institutions throughout the world.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide professional advice on trade finance products to internal and external clients. With the ability to provide informed decisions and opinions. Work closely with the Trade Finance Sales team Identifying potential leads for follow up by the sales team Liaison with the offshore processing team to ensure SLA's are met. Issuing, advising and amending of Letters Credit , Guarantees / Standby Letters of Credit Management of and Effecting payments under - Receivables Financing Facilities Ensuring compliance with Global and Local Operational Guidelines and Policies Inputting / Controlling of transactions into the Trade Finance system Responsibility for departmental admin including invoicing of clients andreconciliation Assisting with monthly reporting and corporate governance
Who we're looking for
The Trade Finance Associate will have:
Proven Trade Finance Track record of successfully servicing a demanding client base against SLA's Good knowledge of ICC Rules relevant to trade products (UCP, URDG, ISP 98,)CDCS/CITF desirable Taking transactional responsibility Prior exposure to the duties listed above including control / approval authority PC Literate including a good working knowledge of MS Office applications and Lotus Notes
