Quality Manager

One of the UKs leading independent suppliers of educational resources are searching for a Quality manager to join their growing team. Within this brand newrole you will facilitate all quality related business requirements on a range of hardlines including furniture, toys, art & craft materials and outdoor equipment.
You will be the process pilot and update relevant spreadsheets/KPIs related to:
• Debits raised on suppliers for testing, delivery non-conformity issues, etc.
• Concern and corrective action reports (CCARs).
• Customer Complaints
• Cost of Quality
• Quality System Efficiency
• Quarantine Status
• Product Issues

Who we're looking for
• An understanding of quality tools/statistical analysis
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A broad understanding of manufacturing processes, variability of processes, requirement for control points, to assure product consistency.
• Able to adopt a flexible approach, i.e able to make decisions, considering the quality requirements, but also able to understand any commercial implications.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Working knowledge, or prepared to learn, IWACS, STEP and SAP applications.
• Excellent communication skills.
