The commercial Lawyer Role has a broad scope of accountability within this small but busy In House legal department. For the right person this role provides a great opportunity to lead and shape all areas of the business.
Reporting to the General Counsel, this role will be responsible for:
• The reviewing, negotiating, drafting and administrating of wide a variety of commercial contracts including retail, IT, marketing, facility, utility and confidentiality agreements. • Dealing and advising on compliance issues, debt recovery, litigation, insurance, customer complaints, Licensing and company secretarial matters • Managing external Lawyers • Assisting with corporate transactions including due diligence, data rooms and SPAs
Who we're looking for
• A technically strong lawyer who is commercially focused with the ability to deliver pragmatic business solutions in a demanding and fast moving environment. • An outstanding track record with circa 5 years commercial experience* some of which will have been spent in industry. • Strong Communication skills with a proven ability to influence and work effectively at all levels within an organisation. • Ability to work well under pressure , effectively prioritise and consistently deliver high quality work in a timely and accurate manner • A confident self starter with a strong work ethic and a good sense of humour.
