This position presents an excellent opportunity for either a Pharmacist with medicines information experience or for current Medical Information professional to join a top pharmaceutical company.
The key responsibilities will include;
• To be responsible for the comprehensive and efficient response to all medical information enquiries from internal and external customers. • Providing an efficient and professional response to medical information enquiries from all internal and external customers • Providing coherent and comprehensive support to other departments as required • Ensuring all patient safety issues are escalated and processed promptly • Maintaining an accurate product database • Manage and deal with medical information enquiries promptly and appropriately, at all times managing the customers' expectations • Ensure the most recent approved product information is included in the database • Check controlled drug calculations and validate and sign import licences • Respond to Quality Complaints, Adverse Events and Product Recalls in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring regulations and processes are adhered to • Ensure continual professional development is maintained • Write and review relevant SOPs, and contribute to and ensure system improvement
Who we're looking for
• University degree in a biomedical discipline • Demonstrable experience of working within the Medical Information field • Excellent knowledge of English language. • Experience of information work in the pharmaceutical industry or a hospital • Evidence of being able to build relationships with key internal and external customers and demonstrate customer focus • OR • Post-registration experience in a community or hospital pharmacy with some work experience in a medical information role
