You will be the key interface for new business within the purchasing team in order to realise the required project timings, whilst striving to achieve new product cost targets. You will also:
• Understand and communicate the 'Quality First' philosophy.
• Work closely with business planning & engineering as part of a project team to obtain all data necessary to allow RFQ.
• Track and evaluate suppliers quotes and align with technical & commercial targets.
• Attend working group meetings to present report on purchasing project status, clearly identifying problem areas & report back to buyers.

Who we're looking for
We are looking for:
• Good Purchasing and Engineering understanding with the ability to read drawings.
• Project management experience.
• An excellent communicator who can strategically think to identify opportunities for cost reduction.
• You will have a good understanding of product/component evaluation & functionality requirements.
• You will have the ability to collate, review, analyse and present data.
• Ideally Degree/CIPS qualified.
