Reporting into the General Manager for the UK, the crux of your role as Head of Finance will be to provide the UK business with an effective and comprehensive financial service. You will have the responsibility of managing a small team of 3, providing them with the necessary direction and development so you will need to be an excellent people manager.
Your key accountabilities will also be to :
• Ensure that effective finance policies and procedures are in place;
• Prepare the company accounts;
• Work with the General Manager and your colleagues in the management team to prepare the annual budgets and quarterly forecasts;
• Provide a comprehensive financial service to the management team;
• Work in partnership with our external auditors to support the external audit process;
• Constantly look at the financial systems and processes in order to identify ways of improvement for the greater benefit of the business.

Who we're looking for
To be successful in securing an interview, you will boast a strong pedigree in finance and accountancy, with your experience ideally gained within the manufacturing sector. Other sectors of interest may be engineering, fmcg or logistics and distribution.
Moreover, you will be a real people person with the ability to manage a small team and to provide them with plenty of guidance and direction. You will also have the gravitas and credibility to sit as part of the senior management team and be robust enough to deal with challenging situations.
Technically, you will be highly knowledgeable with regards to financial and accounting processes and procedures. At the same time, you will have the ability to analyse and review current processes and seek to implement necessary improvements to improve overall performance.
