Senior Buyer

Permanent ⁄ £30000 - £35000

You will source goods under responsibility at lowest total cost, ensure availability of capacity, compliance with specification, quality and delivery requirements and minimize risk of supplies. Assist the purchasing manager in the day to day running of the department to ensure it meets the expectations of both internal and external stakeholders. You will also:
• Be the communication interface between other purchasing functions, projects and sales.
• Identify, evaluate and select suppliers.
• Provide price input to tendering.
• Manage the business relationship with suppliers.
• Assist in the day to day running of the department.

Who we're looking for
We are looking for someone with:
• Extensive purchasing experience.
• A mechanical purchasing background is critical as you will be required to read drawings.
• You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to negotiate effectively.
• Management experience would be ideal.
• Ideally Degree/CIPS qualified.
